• UONGOZI Journal of Management and Development Dynamics (formerly known as Uongozi Journal of Management Development) is peer reviewed, sponsored and published by Mzumbe University, Tanzania (formerly known as Institute of Development Management, IDM - Mzumbe). The word "Uongozi" is Kiswahili for Leadership. Publication of the Journal began in 1982.
  
  
• The Journal aims at providing development and management trainers,researchers, consultants and practicing managers with a scholarly forum for an exchange of ideas and experiences. By so doing it is hoped that, the Journal will attempt to fill the vacuum which is now so well pronounced in African countries, of relevant management and development information for managers, reseachers, management and development experts and students.
  
  
• The Journal is currently published biannually i.e. in June and December.
